Simple act of kindness

Here's the young Costa Rican mother who is poverty-stricken, and being in one of their houses makes you realize how fortunate many of us are. Their floor is the beach, and what the government does is for a small amount of money, the government comes in, and they'll put four walls and a metal shingle roof on top, and that's all they give the people. I did not notice if they had indoor plumbing or anything of that nature. The government provides you with four walls and a shingle for a roof, but it has no installation. The parts of the house there are not connected, so it's almost like being homeless, but you have a roof over your head, but it's not much of shelter or much of a home because you lack the necessities to make it a home.

As I looked around, I could hear in the distance the thundering roar of the beach and the water splashing on the shore. I thought, in a way, you know it's beautiful. These people can live right on the beach but are idealistic like I am and an artist. I have a great imagination I still would not want to be in that situation even if I were in one of the most beautiful places in the world. Going home makes me appreciate what I have even more, and I wish some young people, like my son and my niece, could go to Arizona State University college for free because I'm also an Uber driver. They pass on that opportunity like it's nothing, whereas people like these people here, the Costa Rican people who are poor, can't even afford to buy the essential things. Many Costa Ricans can't even afford to register their child for school because they would instead feed their families than register their children for school. They can't afford any of that, and here we, Americans like my son and my niece, pass on an opportunity to go to college for free because I'm a Uber driver. And these people's kids would love to go to school. That would be a dream to go to school, much less a University. These people in America and not just America but all over the place. Many young people don't appreciate what they do have because what little they do have is a lot more than those people have, and it's unfortunate to see.
